Vibeplate™, now available at BCPT

“More results in half the time.” “Increase muscle strength twice as fast.” “Cut recovery time in half.” These claims sound to good to be true.  But when it comes to Whole Body Vibration (WBV), more strength, more speed, rapid recovery, increased flexibility, and coordination are all possible.  This revolutionary form of training is sweeping the country, and BCPT is excited to offer it to its patients.  WBV is the transmission of mechanical vibrations to the body through a vibration plate, stimulating fast twitch muscle fibers.  One of the safest and most reliable modes of WBV transmission is the VibePlateTM, developed in Lincoln, Nebraska, and offered exclusively in Rhode Island by BCPT.  By standing on the VibeplateTM, your body automatically adjusts to the vibrations and produces a stretch reflex, causing the repeated contraction of postural and stabilization muscles up to 3,600 TIMES PER MINUTE.  When you participate in a training program on the VibeplateTM, tremendous results are possible.

Owner JC Kovolyan MSPT, OCS, CSCS, an APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist reports, “We’ve been putting everyone on the VibeplateTM and have seen amazing gains.  We’ve had gymnasts, dancers, high school and college athletes, patients with ACL repairs, chronic ankle sprains, quadriceps rupture repairs, hamstring strains, and even back pain that have all benefited significantly from working out on the VibeplateTM.” Kovolyan continues, “Any exercise you would normally perform on land, and its benefits, can be performed and enhanced on the VibeplateTM … squats, lunges, back stability, it’s really impressive.”

Bristol County PT is excited to bring WBV to the East Bay, and help their patients get back on the field, court, and course, quickly and without fear of re-injury.  When you put the most technologically advanced products into the hands of the best trained therapists, amazing results are possible.  The therapists at BCPT are not only experts in the rehabilitation of injury, but are skillfully adept in injury prevention and functional restoration.  They can help get you ready for the next season, and prevent that lingering ache or muscle pull from keeping you from enjoying what you like to do.

The choice of where you wish to receive your physical therapy services is up to you, the patient.  You may ask to be seen where you wish to be treated.  If you, or someone you know, are in need of physical therapy services or would like to try WBV on the VibeplateTM, ask your physician for a referral to Bristol County Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation.
